6 CLASSIFICATION
This Clause of Part I is applicable, except as follows:

6.1.201 Rigid conduit and fittings of insulating material
For rigid conduit and fittings of insulating material, including smooth bore profile wall, the
following are not applicable:
(a) Clause 6.3(a) and (c).
(b) Clause 6.4.3.
For rigid conduit and littings of metal material, Clause 6.3(b) and (c) is not applicable:
7 MARKING AND DOCUMENTATION
This Clause of Part 1 is applicable, except as follows:

7.1.20 1 Marking
The conduit shall be marked in accordance with Clause 7.1 along its entire length at regular intervals of preferably I m hut not longer than 3 m, and each length shall he marked at least once.
Conduits made of PVC and complying with the Best Environmental Practice requirements of AS/NZS 1260 may be marked with the letters ‘REP PVC’ or the words ‘Best Environmental Practice PVC’. Compliance with best environmental practice requirements is not required for compliance with this Standard.
Compliance shall be checked by inspection.
7. 1 .202 Documentation
The manufacturer shall document for the system the minimum inside diameter and the classification in accordance with Clause 6.

7. 1 .203 Marking for non—metallic conduit and fittings other thai; smooth bore profile wall conduit
The marking for nominal size 80 mm shall be 80(NZ) or 80(AU), and for nominal size 100 mm shall be lOO(NZ) or l00(AU), depending on which set of dimensions are used. 7. 1 .204 Marking fir metallic conduit
Clause 7.1(v) is not applicable.
7. 1 .205 Marking fir smooth bore pro file wall conduit
The marking for nominal size 100 mm shall he I0O(NZ) or 100(AU), depending on which set of dimensions is used.
7. 1 .206 )v!arkingfbrflatne propagating conduit
Conduit classified as flame propagating shall be marked in accordance with Clause 7.1.201 with the following: ‘FLAME PROPAGATING’.The size of the conduit for which the fitting is intended or, alternatively, a catalogue number providing easy identification of the conduit size.AS NZS 61386.21 pdf download.
